The Sony A7M4 is powered by a new 30-megapixel CMOS

Sony's A7M3 was released in early 2018, almost three years away, and it seems that Sony can't sit still, and the Sony A7M4 is on its way.

The new device uses a new 30 megapixel CMOS, a vast improvement over the A7M3's 24 megapixels according to the latest exposure specs.

Looking back at Sony's A7M series's history, the A7M1 was released in October 2013, the A7M2 in November 2014, and the A7M3 in February 2018.
