The Core 11 Desktop Processor has fewer cores and costs more than its predecessors

I believe many players are very concerned about the price of Intel's 11 generation Core desktop processor; how much will it cost?

Retailers across Europe are now preparing to ship Rocket Lake's 11-generation Core processor, with product pages already online. According to Intel's product lineup, with fewer cores than the previous generation, the price has also increased across the board. Perhaps coincidentally, Rocket Lake's lineup is symmetrical, with six six-core models and eight eight-core models.

The six-core models include the I5-11400, 11400F, 11500, 11600, 11600K, and 11600KF, while the eight-core models include the I7-11700, 11700F, 11700K, and 11700KF, as well as the I9-11900, 11900F, 11900K, and 11900KF. All models have hyperthreading capability.

Data from some retailers suggest that Rocket Lake is cheaper than the current generation. For example, 2Compute lists some of the lowest prices for Rocket Lake and some of the highest prices for the current generation. Using their numbers alone, Rocket Lake looks about 10% cheaper than its age.

According to Intel, the Rocket Lake-S has improved IPC performance by 19%, integrated XE core display unit, flagship i9-11900K, 8-core, 16-thread, 4.8GHz full core, 5.3GHz single-core acceleration, and DDR4-3200 memory. Compared to the 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X, Rocket Lake-S has led all seven popular games by 2% or 8%.
