In the latest Home Smart app update, IKEA has now introduced user scenarios that can be used to control multiple smart home products with one click, such as "get up", "curtain open", "lights on" and so on.

IKEA Tradfri Gateways running the new 1.12.31 firmware can be configured to control multiple home smart products at once, such as IKEA Smart Lights, Symfonisk speakers from Sonos, or Fyrtur blinds.

The scenarios will appear in a dedicated area at the top of the IKEA Smart App, and an important scenario suggested by the app is "All off", which means that you can turn off all the lights in your home with one click.

The update also supports IKEA's new shortcuts for controlling individual scenes in partnership with Apple.

The hardware "shortcuts" for the smart home in this collaboration with Apple will also support the above-mentioned "scenarios".

Send a button next to the coffee maker and click on it to start making a cup of coffee. This kind of convenience is the main direction of life in the future, and this kind of technology is a great way to give your family the convenience and comfort of living together.

Of course this scenario was first demoed a year ago and many people actually eagerly await its release now that it's finally happening. Currently IKEA has a list price of 9.99 in the Lithuanian store, but there is no stock available.

Like many smart home device makers, IKEA has a somewhat inked track record with its HomeKit products, often promising them before they're available, but taking a long time to actually launch them.

This was the case for both the Trafdi Smart Plug and Smart Blinds, which were first announced in late 2018 with the promise of a February 2019 release in the U.S., which quickly bounced to April, then August, then " late 2019" before finally being released in October 2019.

Although Apple's own cell phones and computers and other hardware are good, but in the field of smart home, want to enrich more third-party partners need more manufacturers to cooperate, and hope that these third-party hardware manufacturers can also be more active, to produce more smart home products for each household to use.

How about this tech gadgets, smart home shortcut button is especially suitable for family members as a New Year's gift or Christmas gift?
