We have introduced the new LEGO Super Mario sets several days ago, and today they are on sale.
The main set features an interactive Mario figure. What makes it even better is that Charles Martinet, the voice of Super Mario himself, actually recorded new lines especially for the toy.
You may have heard some of his work in the trailer before. In a recent interview, LEGO Super Mario lead designer, Jonathan Bennink, provided a little more insight into what it was like working with such an iconic talent. “We had Charles Martinet record a few special lines. It was a cool moment when we received a sound file from the voice of Mario, specifically made for us!”
Besides the essential Starter Course, LEGO has launched 8 expansion sets. You can use the interactive Lego Mario figure to recreate classical video game scenes in the real world, such as collecting gold coins, defeating mushrooms and cannibals, and clearing the level.
The LEGO Mario built-in LCD and loudspeakers display corresponding expression and sound effects in line with the game process. You can take this plumber in hand and go on an adventure with friends.
LEGO Super Mario show a new interactive and innovative interpretation of Nintendo's game design concept, making it sold out as early as in the pre-sale.
