Two versions are scheduled for release later this year for Windows and macOS. They are primarily for users who prefer a one-time buyout rather than a monthly subscription to Microsoft 365.
While not much has been said about the new features of Office 2021, both it and the Office LTSC will add Night Mode, Accessibility Optimization, Dynamic Arrays of Excel, XLookup, and Teams instead of Skype.
According to Jared Spataro, head of Microsoft 365, several customers have migrated to the cloud in the past ten months. However, people can't make the switch, such as regulated industries and manufacturing plants.
In terms of pricing, the consumer and small business editions of Office 2021 will remain unchanged (748 yuan for the 2019 Home Edition and 1,998 yuan for the 2019 Small Business Edition), while the Professional Edition (5,298 yuan for the 2019 Edition) and Office LTSC will increase by 10%.
A preview version of Office LTSC will be available in April, with five years of official support. There is no preview version of Office 2021, both 32-bit and 64-bit.
